The 2006 vintage has a very deep color, a fresh, intense, fruity character and, somewhat surprisingly, an impressive tannic structure. The Merlot wines are smooth, and the Cabernet Sauvignon ones are powerful. 2006 Haut-Bailly will undoubtedly be well-balanced, classy, silky, and elegant – in short, a great wine, typical of its terroir.
