Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2016 750ml

A very deep, dark ruby color that is virtually opaque. The dark-fruit (cassis/elderberry) aromas are taught & overlaid by tobacco leaf & cedar aromas. The palate displays lifted red berry & dark plum fruit. The acidity is very fresh & the plentiful fine-grained tannins add a velvety & dusty texture - there is drying tannic grip on the finish. The alcohol is a touch warming & lifts exotic cedary spices at the end.
