Aged Rum FAQ

What is double aging in Planteray (Plantation) Rum? +

Planteray Rum uses a signature double-aging process: the rum first matures for years in tropical oak casks in its native home of Jamaica, then travels to Château de Bonbonnet in France to finish in toasted Ferrand French oak cognac casks.

Why are single cask releases so rare? +

Single cask bottlings are selected from individual, hand-picked barrels chosen by Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel. Because each cask produces a very limited quantity, these releases are highly sought after by collectors.

Is Planteray the same as Plantation Rum? +

Yes, Plantation Rum official rebranded to Planteray Rum to better reflect its heritage, craft, and dedication to sugarcane planting and distillation history.
